Drain unblocker test results
We tested chemical drain unblockers and mechanical drain unblockers to see how successfully they could shift kitchen and bathroom blockages, and found that using mechanical methods is not only greener, it's also more effective than pouring chemicals down the drain.
We also tested some alternative products you may already have in the house including bleach, soda crystals and even plain old hot water. On bathroom blockages 500ml of household bleach did as good a job as some of the dedicated drain unblockers, and it’s much cheaper.
