Looking for an iron that won't let you down? We’ve surveyed over 12,800 Which? members about their small gadgets and appliances to find out which brands are the most reliable. We’ve compiled the views of more than 7,000 members about their irons to bring you reliability ratings for the top iron brands.
The highest-scoring steam iron brand has an excellent reliability score of 90%, but one brand scored a poor 48% - you can find out which in the table below. Brands including Bosch, Breville, Morphy Richards, Philips, Rowenta, Russell Hobbs, Tefal and Tesco are featured.
Philips irons are a popular purchase, with 34% of respondents to our survey owning one. 18% of respondents have Tefal irons, 13% Morphy Richards, 8% Rowenta and 6% Bosch irons.
