Beko DCU8230 review
http://www.which.co.uk/home-and-garden/laundry-and-cleaning/reviews/tumble-dryers/beko-dcu8230/review/
Beko claims its tumble dryers offer everything you need to save time and money on your laundry. The DCU8230 tumble dryer has special programs including Xpress, jeans and shirts, and Beko claims the large 8kg capacity makes it ideal for bulkier items like duvets. It also claims that the 4.8L water tank is the biggest on the market - but how does this affect performance? We set it off to the lab to find out.

What a difference! Set for "cupboard dry", hand /bath towels come out dry soft and fleecy in about half an hour. Controls are easy to use and the sensor works well. Cost £229 incl delivery from the Co-op, this has been an inspired purchase and great value for money. Pros: Cons:

Very satisfied with all functions and aspects.Priced £240 by Appliances Online and considered a good competitive price.Neat looking in white. Large door opening. Easy and clear controls.'CONDENSER Tank' at TOP of machine front - making for easy empting. Looks good; good price; easy to operate and performs well in Drying CLOTHS of different mixes. This is what it was purchased to do!Therefore VERY SATISFIED.Recommended for others to serious consider. Pros: Cons:

There are lots of programmes available but I find the 'synthetics - cupboard dry' programme meets my needs most of the time drying a mixed load of clothes sufficiently for the ironing pile or, for those garments that don't need ironing, they just need time to air on a radiator. Sure, some heavy cottons (jeans, cotton track suit tops, etc.) generally need to be returned to the machine for another 10 minutes but generally that's all it takes. The sensors take the guess work out of when to check if the washing is dry and the useful internal light means you'll never miss a sock. Removing and emptying the readily accessible large condensation tank is easy (it is even shaped to make it easy to handle) and the lint filter is similarly easy to access - no awkward bending down for either of these. The dryer comes supplied with an annoying beeper to tell you when it has finished which keeps repeating itself periodically - studing the manual soon tells you how to deactivate this factory setting. A 'must do' if you intend to use this generally quiet dryer when anyone is sleeping. Pros: Cons:

I have 2 children (1 baby and the other just started school) and they both have quite a few clothes that require delicate settings. The review for this dryer seemed very impressive and I thought I would take a punt without knowing the reliability but other Beko products seem to have good. I have the dryer in the kitchen and are using the condensor option and not using the external water extraction system. The water tray often fills up so I know the dryer is working but the clothes quite often come out damp. This requires me to put it on again using the same settings. This means the efficiency for this dryer is very poor. The load is not too much as I am only half filling the drum and it is only small items.I have tested this with towels at a much higher setting but still found it needed that little bit longer than the automatic setting. Whilst this is not for the full time as the first run, it still needs at least another 10 minutes.I previously bought a John Lewis dryer recommended by which but due to moving house, it had to stay as we needed a condensor dryer. This dryer was fantastic and it dried the items first time, every time. The major positive to the Beko dryer is that I like the function of the internal light as it helps to see.Maybe I just have a faulty unit and i'm giving it a little injustice, but I would not recommend this unit with the current efficiency rating I am getting out of this item. This is a shame as it looks nice, great price, very easy to use, nice child lock option and has a nice big drum. Pros: Cons:

The only problem I have encountered is that the sensor drying isn't always accurate with some materials. An example would be the mattress protector I put in there today which was still very, very damp when I took it out despite having put it on an 'extra dry' setting. On the whole though, I am very happy with the results. Pros: Cons:

However this machine is light years ahead. There is a light which helps you to load your clothes. The settings are easy and the sensor helps take the guesswork out. Its a quick machine and rated B for efficiency. As this review states the durability is unknown for this make but I think at just under £240 its excellent value for money! Pros: Cons:
