its not very effici...
its not very efficient as which says it is and the sensors are crap as the other day I dried a load of towels and had to put it on a full cotton cycle again and then had to put it on the 20min warm cycle too!! and thats after cleaning out main filter! drying bedding isnt any better either as dryer stops and bedding is still damp.Always use which to help me decide what appliances to buy but big let down this time and a waste of money

having owned a Miele vented dryer for years we have moved and needed a condensing dryer so looked at Which Best buy's and went for this Bosch machine. Clothes never seem dry at the end of extra dry cycle and if I put it on again it stops within a minute or two but they are still not dry. Handle broke after 4 weeks and engineer came and said they always carry handles in van as they are always breaking!!!! He said a lot of people turn off machines by mistake as the on/off switch is a sensor switch so if you lean over the dryer to reach something (for me it is my knife rack on the wall) it turns off. Very disappointed but I guess you get what you pay for so John Lewis is picking it up next week and delivering me a Miele condensing tumble dryer

One has to question the Specification regarding satisfactory drying. Bosch has advised me that Cupboard Dry does not mean exactly what we in Britain might expect it to mean, that is, suitable to fold up and put away in a chest of drawers. This machine, it was explained, followed the German usage, where the meaning is AIRING Cupboard Dry - which is quite different.I was told that if the items were not dry enoug to my liking, to use the 20 minute fast drying option. It would have been nice to have been told this in the first instance, or being provided with a programmable option.Only tree stars, I'm affraid.Confidentially, I hate it.

quiet, efficient, streets ahead of the vented dryer it replaced; as mentioned before, select the driest programme if you want no dampness at all.

Does its job
Sits in the garage (as does the washing machine). Quiet enough that I don't notice it when I'm working there. Taking a while to get used to the time it takes to dry on the different settings. I have a tendency to put it one setting higher to get things drier than the indicated one. Good and bad that the drier continues to occasionally tumble to stop creasing but it is easy to forget it in the garage and could continue overnight or longer, perhaps a bleeper would have been useful. Overall well satisfied, excellent value for money at £339 from coopelectrical.co.uk

I bought this model after reading all your reviews and I own several good Bosch products. I have had the machine for just over a year and although it is very easy to use and to clear the filter and empty the water resevoir I still haven't found a satisfactory setting for drying the clothes. The most annoying aspect is that my sheets come out like a 'sausage' - all tangled up within a smooth outer layer. I have tried putting in one sheet only and it makes little difference. What am I doing wrong?

A good machine, wit...
A good machine, with two significant reservations:Relying on a sensor gives a feeling of not being in control. Cupboard dry is often still very moist. I would prefer a timer. Far more vapour escapes into the room than is the case with a vented machine.

Reliable and well made
Had the tumble drier for just under a year and we are very pleased with it.Cleaning the filter and emptying the water container is much easier than our previous Hotpoint model. The opening is also bigger which makes it easier for loading. The only thing we find is that we quite often have to give the clothes an extra 20mins despite putting it on cupboard dry.

After reading Which reviews decided on this tumble dryer, fitted the budget and does not need to be vented. Using the dryer is easy enough, just select the programme you require and off you go, results are pretty good, sometimes you need to give it the pre programmed extra 20 minutes. The build of the water tank does not inspire confidence that the handle/front panel will not break, especially when the tank is full after a load of towels has been dried. Cleaning the lint filter is easy, although lint does gather around the rest of the trap and is fiddly to remove. Despite these two concerns/problems it is a good machine.

Easy to use
All controls simple to use and cleaning (fluff and condenser filter) straightforward, water tank easy to empty.Auto sensor is sometimes optimistic i.e. finishes before clothes are fully dry.Very quiet and waste heat is returned to the room - useful in cold weather!Had it for about a year with no problems.

l luv Bosch!
l bought this after reading the reviews. l`m very pleased with it, its really easy to use - cleaning is a doddle, emptying water tank and the filter - best to clean the filter after each time you use it. The drying time could be quicker, but thats my fault for buying a washing machine with only a 1200 spin!! Its still pretty quick though and l really dont know what l would do without it.

I bought this as a Which recommendation to replace a vented drier in 2011 and have had no problems with it. It is easy to load with a large aperture and straightforward to use. The drying programs work as it says on the tin. Removing the lint and water is also easy - my garden has had the benefit of the latter! It throws out quite a lot of heat but that is good in winter.
