Tumble dryers: Compare features & prices Indesit IDV65 review Back to Results

The freestanding Indesit IDV65 vented tumble dryer is an entry-level model, which means it offers a limited range of features, with a maximum drum capacity of 6kg. We put this tumble dryer through its paces in our rigorous lab tests to see if it performed well in spite of its modest price tag.

Excellent machine - highly recommended.
Superb VFM. Dries clothes quickly and efficiently and fairly quiet. Much better than our previous White Knight. Recommended to 2 friends who are also delighted with their machines. Unbeatable at the £149 we paid for it.

It dries laundry...simples!
We bought the Indesit IDV65 a couple of years ago to replace our old tumble dryer which had died on us. The online reviews were favourable and this machine gets used 2-3 times a week and does an excellent job. I don't think it's particularly noisy, but again it's out in the utility room so perhaps if it were in my kitchen I might notice it more. It certainly deserves a higher rating than 61%. yes, it's basic, but it does what I want it to do... It dries my laundry - a full load of shirts, underwear, T-shirts in about 60 mins. That's all that matters to me.

We wanted a basic but reliable replacement tumble dryer and purchased the IDV65 at least 3 years ago. Very pleased with this product, Simple to change the heat setting and time on cycle. The filter is easy to clean (clean every cycle - its amazing how much fluff there is). The drum size is reasonable. Tip - fasten the openings of duvet covers to stop pillow cases ending up inside and still damp.

Wanted a basic but reliable no frills tumble dryer and its just that. Does the job reasonably quietly, two settings and a timer and a good price. Normally well use my tumble dryers so we will see how this one goes, at the moment great.

Sorry - missed a vital word out of my above review on Indesit idv65. Now amended. Very very pleased. In spite of only being given 1 star I don't think it is noisy, but as it is in my utility anyway it would not have bothered me. Would get another one in umpteen years time if I needed one.

Just received the indesit idv65 vented tumble dryer, dries quicker and quieter than my old white knight tumble. Although it has only been given 1 star for noise, first impressions are that it is quite quiet. Good value for money if you are looking for a low price price basic tumble dryer, and also comes with a 5 year parts warrantee.
