Tumble dryers: Compare features & prices White Knight 44AW review

The freestanding vented White Knight 44AW tumble dryer is an entry-level model, so it won't cost you an arm and a leg, but it doesn't come equipped with many fancy features either. We put this tumble dryer to the test in our labs to see if it was really a bargain.

We have owned this product for more than 5 years now, and are very pleased with it. We have calculated that we are saving around 50% on energy use, compared with our previous electric tumble dryer. We have had to have a belt a broken belt, and a drum bearing replaced recently, but as the machine is used 3/4 times a week, I guess this is to be expected. It is very easy to use, and dries the clothes very well.Although a little more expensive than equivalent electric tumble dryers, we feel it works out cheaper in the long run.We would definitely recommend this machine.

Great British Product......Simple to use and it does exactly what it says on the box.In our house with two young kids it really takes a hammering and we haven't had any problems.

This tumble dryer is used in an outside garage. It is used about 3 times a week and has performed faultlessly. The filter is easily cleaned. Drying cotton towels seems to take rather a long time however.
