I've had this washing machine for a week now and have put through about 4 washes. I'd have to say that it deserves more that 57%! It washes cottons well (that's all I've tried so far), and have a good amount of options such as manual temperature control and spin which can be adjusted for each set programme. The 1200 spin is absolutely fine, and clothes certainly don't come out dripping - remember this is not a washer/dryer. As for it's longevity, I cannot vouch for this, and dare I say neither can Which really - as I very much doubt they have the machines installed and running in their 'labs' for their entire lifespan. If one is unsure about how long a machine will last, perhaps consider taking out an extended warranty upon purchase as most suppliers offer these at a reasonable price.I previously owned an Indesit machine (only 5 years old) which slowly deteriorated, refusing to perform a complete cycle. I opted for the Hotpoint despite reading Which's largely negative reviews of the brand, mostly because I found it at a good price through a local independent retailer.

Got one of these machines in February as a replacement for old hotpoint, it is very noisy indeed but for price we cannot fault it, lots of programs with various times to match from quick wash 30 mins (cold wash) to hot wash 90c 160 mins.
