This massive 12kg-capacity washing machine from Samsung is the largest to feature its 'ecobubble' technology, designed to give the same wash results at 15°C as at 40°C, saving 70% of the energy. The WF1124XAC has also been designed to reduce vibrations and noise, and Samsung claims it is 'the perfect modern washing machine'. But does it live up to the hype? We sent it off to the Which? test lab to find out.

No troubles with this machine. Washing results are good. Better value compared to LG. It's large size means you will spend less time washing esp. if you have a busy house also easer to do more washing on cheap rate electricity. Although you will notice that you spend a lot longer hanging out the washing! It's not a general problem with the filter but if you use a "colour catcher" they often seem to find way to clogging the water pump (easily cleared though). It would be useful to have an extra water during cycle option to give a proper soak to some garments that need it. But I think this is a general fault of all machines - all optimised to save water. The unit is on a concrete floor, I have read that in a few cases you may need to put support / spread the load under the feet in some cases if you have a wooden floor as heavy load machines need a fairly solid foundation. Another feature is the machine plays the Trout Theme from the Schubert Trout Quintet after each cycle. (can be turned off)
