The table below shows 20 packaged bank accounts available from 11 banks and building societies and some of the benefits on offer within each of them. We've analysed the individual elements of each fee-charging bank account and added them together to create a product score.
As travel insurance and breakdown cover are two of the benefits Which? members are most likely to use, we've included the cost of an equivalent Which? Best Buy travel insurance policy and breakdown cover from The AA – a Which? Recommended Provider (WRP) so you can compare their value.

How we calculated our score
To calculate the account score we looked at the cost of the packaged bank account, the quality of the travel insurance and car breakdown cover, whether the bank account comes with mobile phone insurance and the quality of the policy and the level of overdraft you get without any interest. All accounts are available to new customers.
This is the breakdown of the score:
Travel insurance - up to 35 points given depending on the levels of cover offered
Car breakdown cover - up to 25 points given depending on the levels of cover offered
Interest-free overdraft - up to 10 points given depending on overdraft limit
Mobile phone insurance - 5 points given if mobile phone insurance offered
Price - up to 25 points given depending on the annual cost of the account
