How do I know the website I’m using is genuine?
When buying online, ensure you know who you are giving your money to. Look for a geographical address and email in the ‘About us’ or ‘Contact’ sections – under EU law, traders must supply these.
If you’re unsure about a foreign website, try accessing it a different way, eg via national or local tourist board websites. If in doubt, book elsewhere.
The price I saw earlier has gone. Why do prices change so quickly?
Most websites update their prices continuously, so if demand is high, prices can go up while you look around. This is especially true of airlines. If you see something that fits your plans and budget, don’t assume it will be there later. Book it!
What should I do if I made a spelling mistake when typing in my name?
Your name must match what is in your passport
For flights and package holidays the name on your booking must agree with that on your passport.
If you mis-spell something and don’t notice until you get your confirmation, contact the airline or tour operator immediately. You may be charged extra to correct the mistake, but that’s better than being denied boarding at the airport.
