Personal finance software Home Accountz review
Home Accountz is an attractive option for Mac users unable to use Banktree
Which? verdict on this paid-for software package
Home Accountz replaced the popular Personal Accountz and has been rewritten to align itself more with the company's business accounting packages. The result is a very good package that uses a series of dropdown menus for different sections.
Under 'net worth', for example, are headings such as assets and investments - major items into which you can drill down for further detail. This all makes for very clear and easily accessible navigation.
Queries were answered promptly be email and telephone, which is a real bonus, although the online manual that can be downloaded has more than enough information to get you up and running.
When we first tested this product there was no password protection - however, this has now been released as a free upgrade.
- Cost: £39.99 RRP (We found it for sale on 17 September 2010 for £25.97)
