NFU Mutual car insurance review

NFU Mutual car insurance has proved very popular with our members and topped the customer satisfaction survey with 84% when we last carried out analysis in November 2012. In fact, the company has been a Which? Recommended Provider in car insurance since we started the scheme in January 2010.

The insurer doesn't always cover people who live in towns or cities so you may be turned down depending on where you live, but for those with an NFU Mutual policy, you'll receive great service and good quality cover.

NFU Mutual’s Your Car Insurance policy scores

We analyse and rate the 49 most important elements of standard car insurance policies to come up with the overall policy score. We assess how important each individual element is to drivers when choosing and using a car insurance policy, and weight it accordingly when calculating our total policy score. Initially, we score all of the product elements out of 5, reflecting how competitive each provider is in this area compared to other insurers. Weightings are then applied to the higher and lower element scores to enhance/reduce their impact in the overall product score.
