Entertainment giant Sony is the best audio visual brand of 2005, according to new Which? Awards.
Sony produced 21 Which? Best Buys this year and in May its smart phone was the only one to achieve Best Buy status.
It also produced the first-ever Best Buy flat-panel TV and possibly the best digital camera Which? has tested.
The audio visual runners up were also impressive. Panasonic notched up 17 Best Buys, including a complete domination of digital camcorders, and Canon sidelined other printer manufacturers.
Apple’s iPod remains unbeaten four years after it was first declared the best MP3 player in Which?, while its laptops swept the board and readers voted it their favourite brand of computer.
Which? has launched the new annual awards to honour companies who have produced the best products and services over the past year.
A full round up of the Which? Awards 2005 will appear in December’s issue of Which?.
