TV licences dropped from post officesChanges likely to affect 5 million

01 August 2006

You’ll no longer be able to buy your TV licence from your post office from today.

Licences are now available only from Paypoint outlets in newsagents, petrol stations and supermarkets or online from TV Licensing by debit or credit card, by post using a cheque or by phoning 0870 240 3352.

The numbers of people who buy their TV licence at the post office is falling but the changes are still likely to affect 5 million people.

TV licence stamps are also replaced today by a savings card that can be ‘topped up’ at Paypoint outlets or over the phone.

To find your nearest Paypoint outlet see the Paypoint locator site.
