26 March 2007
Which? is to sponsor the consumer electronics category on search website Yahoo! Answers.
The website - whose motto is ‘ask, answer, discover’ - enables the public to share their knowledge online, by asking and answering questions on a whole host of topics.
Which? experts will pose the lead question at the head of the consumer electronics page, to canvas opinions on a range of consumer electronics products from MP3 players and plasma screen TVs, to mobile phones and digital cameras.
The sponsorship deal, which begins today, also includes online banner advertising.
Which? Head of Online Marketing Anna Hillier said: ‘Which? tests thousands and thousands of electronic products every year. This sponsorship deal with Yahoo! Answers will add another dimension – we’ll really be able to gauge public opinion on some of the latest products.
‘We're really looking forward to interacting with a new audience through Yahoo!, to hear what they think and to let them know we’re the number one source of independent consumer advice.’
Blake Chandlee, Media Sales Director at Yahoo! UK & Ireland, said: ‘As one of the UK’s leading advisory bodies for consumer products, Which? is an excellent fit for the consumer electronics category of Yahoo! Answers as it will provide professional and unbiased advice to our users, enhancing their experience of the site.’
