You'll need Sky or Setanta to watch live Premiership football

Football fans will be able to catch up with the latest goals and match highlights on their mobile phones thanks to a new service from Sky.

‘24-7 Football’ will offer highlights from the Barclays Premier League and UEFA Champions League, Sky Sports news bulletins, the best of Soccer AM plus Gillette Soccer Saturday.

The football site hopes to feature goal clips 15 minutes after they are scored so fans will be able to catch up with the action while the match is being played.

However, Uefa regulations prevent clips being available on Saturday afternoon so viewers will have to wait until those matches have finished before downloading clips.

The service will also provide previews, roundups and archive footage and once you have downloaded the clip to your phone you can watch it as often as you like.

The service is available across all mobile networks in the UK and Ireland and costs £5 per month in the UK for unlimited downloads of all available video clips.

Alternatively there is a pay per view package costing 50p per individual clip.

The service is available on all mobile phones that are capable of video playback and are able to access WAP sites.
