Korean company LG Electronics (LG) is launching a 32-inch plasma TV later this month which it says will be the smallest and slimmest plasma TV available.
The 32PC5RV will debut in Brazil before being released in 27 nations worldwide in November.
LG describes the flat-panel TV as an affordable solution for people looking for plasma TVs in a size range where LCD TVs currently dominate.
LG says the 32PC5RV's 16:9 aspect ratio screen makes it ideal for watching high-quality sources such as DVDs without eye fatigue.
It adds that the TV can keep up with the fastest-moving action movies and sporting events and is easy to connect to devices such as DVD players and home theatre systems.
However, Which? technology expert Mike Briggs said:'In our tests, LG products have consistently well short of the standards of our Best Buys, so we're not anticipating great things from this TV.'
