New fuel surcharge on longest flights
British Airways (BA) is to increase its fuel surcharges for long-haul flights, it has announced.
The surcharge for long-haul flights of less than nine hours will rise next Monday, February 25, from £96 for a return flight to £106.
BA said the surcharge on return long-haul flights of more than nine hours would increase from £116 to £128.
Saying that the rise reflected continuing high oil prices, BA added that there would be no change to the short-haul flight surcharge, which will remain at £20 for a return flight.
