Nikon has announced seven new models in its Coolpix compact camera range.
The lightweight compacts are available in a range of different styles and colours.
The seven cameras include two in Nikon’s Life Series – the 7.1 megapixel L16 and the 8-megapixel L18.
Both cameras come with an ‘easy auto mode’ which Nikon says makes it easier to turn on the camera and shoot without worrying about settings.
They also have new anti-shake technology which automatically overcomes blur when it detects subject movement and camera shake.
Another feature will automatically find and then focus on people’s faces. Nikon says this makes for crisp, clear shots, while photographers can also use an in-built feature to fix ‘red-eye’ problems.
The other additions to the Coolpix range include four cameras in the Style series, including the S600, S550, S520 and S210, and a new camera in the Performance range – the P60.
