Strasberry signals the start of summerSweet berry to go on sale

A new berry resembling a cross between a raspberry and a strawberry goes on sale this weekend.
The 'strasberry' is reputed to have a sweet and unique flavour.
Summer time
They go on sale at Waitrose for £3.99 for 125g in time for the start of British Summer Time this weekend - despite forecasters' predictions of a washout.
Originating as a wild strawberry species, the berry was 'rediscovered' by a Dutch grower seven years ago.
They will be available in 17 London Waitrose branches until late June/early July.
