08 April 2008
Blaupunkt has unveiled a stripped-down, ‘back to basics’ satellite navigation (sat nav) system.
It says that simplicity is at the heart of the TravelPilot 100 navigation system, which has no entertainment features or traffic message channel.
Blaupunkt describes the TravelPilot 100, which will cost £99.99, as ideal for any motorist who wants a simple, straightforward, accurate and portable sat nav system.
The TravelPilot 100 features simple functions including finding the best route and a speed limit warning.
The device has a 3.5-inch display screen and both UK and Ireland mapping is pre-installed.
The TravelPilot 100 will be available at the end of April from Blaupunkt dealers.
Which? will be testing the TravelPilot 100, and other budget sat navs, soon.
