New Skoda Superb now on saleSkoda offers big car motoring on a budget

The new Skoda Superb is now on sale, offering big car motoring on a budget.
Prices for the new Superb start at £15,490, a range of petrol and diesel engines are available, and you can even have four-wheel drive and a twin-clutch 'DSG' gearbox if you really want it.
Choice engine is the new 168bhp 2.0-litre turbodiesel, which features Volkswagen’s very latest 'common rail' injection technology for better refinement, performance, and economy.
Huge interior
But it’s the interior that really makes the Superb stand out. Passenger room is simply huge – especially in the rear – while equipment levels and the quality of fit and finish are both very good.
Three trim levels are offered: S, SE, and Elegance. Insurance starts at Group 6, remarkably low for a car of this size.
It doesn’t feel overwhelmingly big on the road. Until you come to try and park it (best check the dimensions if you want to put it in your garage).
Twindoor bootlid
The Superb also has a party trick – its 'twindoor' bootlid, which allows it to be both saloon and hatchback. The latter proving useful for fitting in bigger loads.
You'll find stats, owners' views and test scores for the Skoda Superb (and hundreds of other models) in the Which? Car Buying Guide. Our Skoda Superb first drive is also packed with useful information on the car, and we'll be adding a video review in early October.
