The ‘2009’ Renault Scenic range goes on sale in October, so what’s new?
The complete range, comprising Scenic, Grand Scenic 5-seat and Grand Scenic 7-seat, is reduced to just three trim lines. The existing Dynamique and Dynamique S trims remain, with a base Team model replacing Extreme and Expression.
The mock-off-road Conquest version remains available on Scenic only.
Team trim offers good value, with metallic paint, satin chrome door handles, air conditioning, CD stereo, leather steering wheel, automatic handbrake, and electric windows all round.
Prices start at £14,495 for the 1.4 16v petrol, although the better diesel starts at £15,395 for the 85bhp 1.5.
Beyond the introduction of the Team, there are few major changes.
Dynamique adds alloys, alarm, foglights and cruise control/speed limiter, while Dynamique S piles on automatic lights and wipers, climate control and keyless go. The standard Scenic also gains a new grill and black headlight surrounds.
68 different variants are now available in total, with a comprehensive choice of petrol and diesel engines.
