Online dating website Match is celebrating the billionth email sent through its site by launching a new consumer panel.
The match100 panel aims to provide a unique view of dating in 21st century Britain and will also be consulted on potential new services from Match.

Match has launched the panel to mark the one billion emails and one billion winks sent globally using its online dating service since Match's 2001 launch. It will be made up of Match members who've found love through the site and other users still dating online.
The panels’ first task is to compile an insider's guide to online dating, drawing on and sharing their own experiences.

Match earlier revealed the public’s appetite for romance has not been hampered by the credit crunch.
In a recent survey of over 1000 match.com members, 85% said they would spend between £30 and £51 on a date – the same as they would have done six months ago.
