Massive Avensis savings
You’ve seen the news, so you know things are tight everywhere – and this includes the car industry.
September was the first month of new 58-plate registration, and it has not gone anywhere near as well as dealers had hoped. So now is the time to grab a bargain.
For example, an all-new Toyota Avensis is on the way, but if you want hassle free family motoring there’s little wrong with the current car.
Drive the Deal has plenty of pre-registered 58-plate five-door examples in stock, all well-equipped special editions, all at a massive £5,380 off. Choose between 1.8 petrol at £12,700 (or with sequential auto for £1,000 more), or 2.0 diesel at £13,700.
Drive the Deal also has a large choice of Audis and Volkswagens on offer, actually new and unregistered. Highlights include £10,000 discounts on V6 diesel Touareg SUVs, but TTs, A3 Cabriolets, Golfs, etc, are all available.

2nd-hand Mazda 5
It can even save you a few hundred quid on the new Scirocco.
UK Car Discount is trying to clear stocks of unregistered Ford Mondeos. There is quite a choice, with discounts of up to £6,015. Try a Titanium X 2.0-litre diesel at £18,300 – that’s £5,690 off.
Fancy a Mazda5 people carrier for less than half price? Motorpoint has 07-plate examples, some with as little as 10,000 miles for £7,999. 1.8 petrol engine and not quite entry-level TS2 trim, but still £8,596 less than the £16,595 you’d pay for the mildly face-lifted new one.
