Volvo has announced pricing for its DRIVe eco models.
C30, S40 and V50 DRIVe Volvos emit less than 120g/km, putting them into the £35 a year Band B car tax bracket.
The actual figures are 115g/km for the C30, and 118g/km for the S40 and V50 – giving the latter two best-in-class performance. The low CO2 outputs are achieved by combining a 1.6-litre diesel engine with specific DRIVe aerodynamic modifications.
Subtle body mods
These include a unique alloy wheel design, partially covered grill, tailgate spoiler, and lower rear bumper diffuser.
But just like their regular brethren, DRIVe models remain available in S, SE and SE Lux equipment levels.
Official fuel economy is 64.2mpg for the C30, 62.8mpg for the S40 and V50.
Prices start at £15,410 for the C30 S, £17,260 for the S40 S, and £18,660 for the V50 S.
DRIVe completely replaces the ordinary 1.6 diesel in each product line. First deliveries are expected in January.
