Jeep has announced a new special edition version of the Patriot 4×4, the S-Limited.
Just 100 examples will be coming to the UK. But, given it is available only with the 2.4-litre petrol engine, rather than the more impressive and frugal 2.0-litre diesel, perhaps this isn’t such a bad thing.
S-Limited worth a look?
If you were already considering a petrol-powered Jeep Patriot, the S-Limited could be worth a look. Not only will it be exclusive, it also boasts a number of extra items of equipment over the regular Limited it is based on.
This includes: chrome grille, body-coloured door handles and mirrors, rear parking sensors, body kit and S-Limited badging on the outside; leather-trimmed seats, door panels, and centre armrest on the inside.
Six airbags and electronic stability control (a version of this anti-skid/anti-roll aid specifically designed for use in 4x4s) are also standard.
The S-Limited costs £19,810, and includes metallic paint – a standard petrol Limited with metallic costs £18,395. The extra £1,415 seems a reasonable price to pay for the added equipment. Still a shame this Jeep is only available as a petrol, though.
