Prices for the restyled Skoda Octavia have been revealed
The Skoda Octavia is about to receive an extensive mid-life refresh, and we have the prices for the new version.
When the revised Skoda Octavia launches in January 2009, it will start at £11,580 for the entry-level S hatchback, and rise to £22,680 for the range-topping L+K estate. This represents an average increase of £473 and £478 for the hatch and estate, respectively.
The Octavia’s exterior facelift is impressively comprehensive. Together with an usually large number of interior improvements – including a partial redesign, new stereos and upholstery – this is intended to bring the car into line with the flagship Skoda Superb, both stylistically and in terms of overall quality.
Superb styling
To this end, the Octavia also adopts the Superb’s S, SE, and Elegance trim naming. And although the 4x4, the lifestyle off-road look Scout, performance vRS, and super-luxury L+K also continue as before, the Scout and vRS won’t be getting the exterior facelift due to their unique styling elements.
Other changes include the addition of a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine in place of the existing 1.6, and the availability of a 'DSG' automatic on the 2.0-litre turbo vRS.
