The BBC has releases a version of its iPlayer, which will allow Mac and Linux users to download BBC programs from the web. Previously, Mac and Linux users were able to stream BBC programs while connected to the web but were unable to download these to their computers.
Using the iPlayer you can watch re-runs of BBC TV programs from the past seven days such as Eastenders or Top Gear. It’s also possible to replay BBC radio programs.
The Mac-compatible version of the player is currently a beta or test version and is available to iPlayer Lab users.
