Fiat 500byDiesel - order online only

Fiat has announced a limited edition 500, accessorised in association with the Diesel fashion label, and only available for purchase over the internet.

Called the 500byDiesel, it’s based on the existing Sport specification, and includes 16-inch alloy wheels, Diesel scripted side trim, and special door mirror fairings. It comes in metallic green, black or brown.

The interior gets denim upholstery fabric, Diesel logo on the instrument panel and gearknob, and a pouch on the side of the front seats. This is supposedly reminiscent of the fifth pocket on Diesel jeans.

The 500byDiesel can only be ordered via the Fiat website. Customers pay a deposit, and follow their car’s build progress online. After the final payment, arrangements are then made with a local dealer for collection. Very unusual…

Prices for the 500byDiesel start at £11,150. But it won’t be that exclusive, as the edition is ‘limited’ to 10,000 worldwide.
