The Panasonic Viera LZD81 is the first LCD to feature an integrated Freesat and Freeview tuner. The TV has been through the rigorous Which? testing procedure and has impressed our experts.
Which? experts have described the LZD81 as being one of the ‘best sets for watching in high and standard definition’.
The launch of the Panasonic Viera LZD81 LCD television follows Panasonic’s previous stab at a plasma TV with integrated Freesat and Freeview, the Panasonic Viera PZ81. However, Which? test results of the PZ81 were a bit disappointing.
LCD and plasma TV reviews
Michael Briggs, principal Which? researcher, said: ‘There was a lot of hype surrounding the launch of the PZ81, so we were disappointed when we saw the results. The PZ81 is far from being a bad TV, it just didn’t live up to our expectations. The LZD81 is much more consistent with Panasonic’s track record, and a great option for anyone buying a new TV, as it’s easy to use and has the convenience of integrated Freesat and Freeview tuners.’
Full results of the Panasonic Viera PZ81 can be seen in our LCD and plasma TV review. Results of the Panasonic Viera LZD81 will be added to this review of LCD and plasma TVs in the next few days.
