Sony has launched its hotly anticipated 3D gaming community for users of its PS3 games console.
PS3 gamers can download a beta (trial) version of the service dubbed PlayStation Home, which will enable them to interact with other PS3 gamers in a virtual world.
Players will be able to create a unique avatar, a kind of online alter ego, to represent themselves within PlayStation Home. From here gamers will be able to chat with other PS3 gamers via voice of video chat as well as challenging them to miniature games.
They’ll also be able to create their own communities of like-minded people using a feature called Club 2.
