Waitrose announces location of second trial shop

For groceries, Waitrose comes top for everything except price

Waitrose has revealed that it will trial its second convenience store in Bristol.

The supermarket chain, part of John Lewis, will open the 7,000 sq ft store in the Clifton Pavilion in spring 2009. 

The first of the Waitrose convenience stores will be opening in Trinity Square, Nottingham, on 11 December as reported by Which? in October.

Waitrose to trial more convenience stores

Waitrose has also announced plans to trial a further two convenience stores at around the same time as the opening of the Bristol branch.

The supermarket said that locations for these trials are still to be decided.

Waitrose was awarded High Street Retailer of the year at the Which? Awards earlier this year.
