Canon EOS 400D

Three Canon digital SLRs feature in the top five cameras used on the popular photo sharing website, Flickr.

The Canon EOS 400D tops the list, followed by the Canon EOS 350D, the Nikon D80, the Canon EOS 40D and the Apple iPhone 3G. All of these models, except for the 400D, are Which? Best Buys and feature in our digital SLR review, or our mobile phone review.

With the Apple iPhone 3G being the fifth most popular camera, even with only 2Mp of resolution, it is no surprise that the iPhone tops the list of most commonly used cameraphones.

The Nokia N95, the Nokia N73 and the Nokia N82 hold the second, third and fourth place respectively, with the Sony Ericsson K800i rounding off the top five. Reviews of each of these mobile phones can be read in our mobile phone report, where you can find out which one of the five listed did not quite achieve Best Buy status.

Digital camera reviews

Canon digital cameras also dominate the most popular 'Point & Shoot' camera top five, with the Canon Digital Ixus 70 currently holding the top spot followed by Canon cameras in second, third and fourth place.

The fifth most popular 'Point & Shoot' camera in the Flickr community is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55. Find out more about these models in our digital camera review. As Flickr is a US based site, many of the Canon cameras will be listed using the US naming system.

Further details on the popularity of all of these cameras within the Flickr community can be found on the Flickr website. You might also be interested in the Which?
