Zavvi cancels online ordersRetailer suspends online sales of CDs and DVDs
03 December 2008
Woolworths collapse means Zavvi has had to stop taking new online orders and cancel some existing ones.
This is because Zavvi's main supplier is Entertainment UK Ltd, Woolworth's distribution service - which went into administration on 26 November. The products affected are CDs, DVDs and computer games - but not books.
Zavvi was previously known as Virgin Megastores and was formed when Virgin sold their music stores in September 2007.
In a statement on its website Zavvi said: 'Zavvi.co.uk would like to apologise for any inconvenience and would like to assure customers that this decision was not taken lightly. Customers can be confident that Zavvi is doing everything possible to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.'
