At the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas JVC has announced the launch of the first combination LCD TV and Blu-ray DVD player package – the JVC LT-42B300.
It’s available in June 2009, and JVC describes it as a a one-piece high-definition entertainment system that combines a high-performance full HD 42-inch LCD TV with a built-in Blu-ray player for convenient playback of high-definition Blu-ray movies.

Which? TV expert Mike Briggs says: ‘Our tests found that output from the JVC stable during 2008 was disappointing. We’re hoping to see an improvement in 2009 and hopefully products such as the LT-42B300 will see a significant improvement.’
The JVC LT-42B300 features include:
- 1920 x 1080 resolution
- Digital noise reduction
- Dynamic backlight control
- Three HDMI inputs w/ CEC
- One component input
- One SPDIF input
- One analog video output
