Canon says its new Powershot D10 is water resistant to 10 metres.
Panasonic, Olympus and Fujifilm have all recently launched models designed to be more resistant to water or shocks than ordinary cameras – and now Canon has followed suit.
Canon Powershot D10
Canon says the D10 can withstand a drop on to a hard surface from a height of 1.22m, that it can work in temperatures as low as -10° C, and is dustproof.. These features are designed to make it one of the toughest cameras around.
The 12.1Mp D10 has an optical zoom range of 35-105mm and comes with optical image stabilisation for sharper images, especially in low light conditions such as underwater.
Canon has tried to ensure that this camera is also easy to use in more everyday photo taking conditions. There’s face detection and blink detection, both helping you to take better people shots.
