Samsung has launched the PL10, a camera with music, and video, playing capabilities.
The Samsung PL10 features a 9Mp sensor, 3x optical zoom, face and blink detection features, and 2.7 inch LCD screen – but the multimedia player is a standout feature. The camera can play MP3 music files and video files converted using the supplied software, according to Samsung. It can also display text files, such as converted Microsoft Word documents, for reading text while travelling.

Christopher Christoforou, Which? digital cameras expert, said: ‘Music and video playing cameras aren’t new for Samsung – the company’s i6 PMP was a recent Best Buy. Music and video player ease of use on this new model isn’t likely to be as good as an iPod, but this good looking camera could be tempting for people who want music and/or video, but want to carry less around with them.’
