Volvo has announced a special edition Ice White C70, just in time for spring.

The Volvo C70 is a coupé-convertible, with a folding metal hardtop. It is, as Volvo says, perhaps the most aspirational car in the Swedish marque’s range. And the Ice White seems certain to boost that appeal.
For starters, priced at £24,495 it’s actually £500 cheaper than the standard £24,995 2.0D S model it’s based on. Despite this, the Ice White includes extra equipment worth £2,350 over and above the regular S variant.
Ice White paint
Predictably enough, the exterior of this C70 is finished in Ice White paint – currently one of Volvo’s most popular shades. This is complemented by 18-inch alloys, while on the inside you’ll find ‘Calcite’ leather upholstery, black trim and aluminium inlays.
Other equipment includes a climate control system with air quality control, electric windows and mirrors, cruise control, alarm, and steering wheel audio functions. Safety levels are also comprehensive, thanks to standard stability control, whiplash and roll-over protection, plus ‘Inflatable Curtain’ airbags.
The 134bhp 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine returns 46.3mpg while emitting 161g/km CO2 – which, from 1 April, will make owners liable for a £175 annual car tax bill. A slightly less efficient twin-clutch ‘Powershift’ automatic gearbox is optional at £1,400. The Volvo C70 Ice White is available to order now.
