From 1 April, selected and bought on Honda car finance will come with free payment protection, which covers monthly repayments when buyers lose their jobs.
Honda said anyone who is made redundant for more than three months will get their monthly bills paid, up to a maximum period of one year.
‘We know that people still want to buy new cars,’ said Tom Gardner, head of marketing at Honda UK, ‘but everyone’s a bit nervous at the moment about making such a significant purchase.’
‘Our package of cost savings, financial offers and the security of payment protection is one of the strongest we’ve ever offered and should help our customers feel more confident about buying a Honda.’
In addition to free payment protection, Honda is offering up to £2,295 off the Civic, and up to £3,100 off the cost of new CR-V .
