The number of houses available for rent fell for the second month in a row, providing hope for landlords that the market for rentals could be stabilising.
However, the number of flats available increased for the sixth consecutive month, according to research from FindaProperty.com.
There are now more than twice as many flats available to rent compared with a year ago.
