Audi A6 diesel for less than an A4 petrol

Motorpoint has a selection of 08-plate A6 saloons available at well under the price of a new Audi A4.

They are all 2.0-litre TDI turbodiesels with Multitronic automatic gearbox and top S line specification. Mileage is a little as 12,345 miles, and including metallic paint they are all priced at £18,999.

The cheapest A4 you can currently buy is a 1.8 turbo that starts at £19,720 – so you can upgrade an entire car size, not to mention two trim levels by buying used.

Porsche Boxster Sport Edition for £23k

Porsche Boxster Sport Edition for £23k

A brand-new A6 – which has admittedly benefited from a recent facelift – with the same spec costs from £28,455 (list price). So these represent a £9,456 saving.

Future collectible: Porsche Boxster Sport Edition at £23k

Finally, Autoquake has a desirable special edition Porsche Boxster at a good-looking price.

The Sport Edition carried a £3k premium over regular Boxsters when new, costing £36,450 and including such extras as an aerodynamic bodykit, Porsche Active Suspension Management (an adaptive suspension system giving improved grip), cosmetic tweaks including body-coloured rollover hoops, and a smidge of extra power.

This means the 2.7-litre version Autoquake has for sale produces 245bhp instead of the regular 240. At £23,003 for a 57-plate with a reasonable 19,604 miles it’s very well priced against similar models on the market – not to mention some £10,701 less than the current entry-level Boxster list price of £33,704.
