A new mobile phone tariff price comparison tool that recommends price plans based on consumers' usage patterns has become the first mobile price comparison service to be accredited by telecoms industry regulator Ofcom.
The people behind BillMonitor claim its service can save most users an average of 39% on their mobile phone bill by recommending a more cost effective tariff.

Cheap mobile phone tariffs
BillMonitor works by analysing a consumer's online billing statements and recommending a price plan tailored to their past levels of phone usage.
The service has already analysed hundreds of users’ online bills and found 82% were on plans with inclusive minutes they don't use, and most users could upgrade to an iPhone for just £2.70 more per month than they are already paying for their current contract handset.

As well as online billing tracking, BillMonitor enables users to get a quick recommendation by running a one-off tariff search based on the amount of minutes, picture messages, data and texts they use per month.
Stelios Koundouros, BillMonitor co-founder says: 'BillMonitor helps people to save money on their mobile phone bills by providing them with accurate information to empower them to make confident purchase decisions.'
