Pure is claiming a world first for its latest micro system, the Pure Sirocco 150, on the basis that it's the first to display a 'Works with iPhone' badge to show its compatibility with Apple's multi-million-selling mobile phone.
Which? has reviews of over 70 digital radios, including 14 from Pure. Alternatively, you might prefer to check out expert reviews of MP3 speaker docks.
The Pure Sirocco 150 has a matching dock that will hold, play and charge your Apple iPod or iPhone 3G. Other key features of the Sirocco include a DAB digital radio receiver and CD player, plus digital connectivity in the form of an SD memory card slot and a USB port. According to Pure, the Sirocco will be able to play both MP3 and WMA audio files.
The specification of this compact hi-fi system claims 25 watts RMS through speakers with 4-inch mid-bass drivers and 1.5-inch tweeters.
Which? tech expert Al Warman said: 'Pure is a name synonymous with DAB radio, and it has models to cover most bases. From the in-car Pure Highway to the tabletop Pure Evoke series via their Pure One range, Which? has tested a variety of Pure models, and many of them are Best Buy digital radios.
'The Pure Sirocco has plenty of features for the price, and may appeal to users who want the flexibility of listening to their digital music on an iPod while out of the house, and then docking into a compact DAB system at home.'
