Casio has launched the Casio Exilim EX-H10. It features a 10x optical zoom and a battery life that Casio describes as being suitable for a full week's holiday without the need for recharging.

Casio claims that the Exilim EX-H10 is the most compact digital camera available to feature a 10x optical zoom. It measures 24.3mm in thickness and weighs 164g.

The EX-H10 offers a 24mm wide angle and a variety of shooting modes, including: 'make-up mode', for softening facial shadows and ensuring portraits are correctly exposed; and 'landscape mode', which vividly enhances colours and digitally removes mist from photographs.

The Casio Exilim EX-H10 features a 12.1Mp sensor and a 3-inch monitor. It also has image stabilisation and face-detection technology.

Richard Parris, Which? digital camera expert, said: 'Having to keep an eye on your battery gauge can really take the fun out of digital photography, so we'll be keeping a close eye on the Casio EX-H10's battery performance when we come to testing the model in the coming months'.

The Casio Exilim EX-H10 is available as of now for around £299.
