Peugeot 407 offers plenty of space for a small outlay
A 407 for £14k and plenty of other Peugeot deals
Want to save a stack of cash on a Peugeot? Drive the Deal might have just the car for you.
Its special offers section is currently showing a selection of Peugeots. We’d probably avoid the 207 1.6 HDi S that was pre-registered on a 58-plate (but still represents a £4,000 saving), but an unregistered 407 1.6 HDi S turbodiesel saloon discounted by £6,950 to £14,195 seems great value. Alternatively, a pre-reg 09-plate 407 2.0 HDI could be yours for £13,945 - a £6,200 saving.
Also worth considering are the selection of unregistered 4007 SUVs, in SE spec with 2.2-litre HDi turbodiesel, going for £16,595 each - a £7,200 saving over the £23,795 list.
We also spotted an unregistered 207 Coupé Cabriolet 1.6 16v Sport petrol auto. Complete with Sports Pack this was £18,055 direct from Peugeot, but Drive the Deal has it at £13,275 - a £4,780 reduction.
'Warm' Vauxhall Corsa has the pace without sky-high running costs
Vauxhall Corsa SRi for £11,995
Got a hankering for some hot hatch action on a budget?
Then try the Vauxhall Corsa SRi. With a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, it produces 148bhp and sprints to 62mph in 7.6 seconds. Although this performance technically relegates it to ‘warm’ hatch status, it does give it a lower insurance rating and cheaper entry price than the rip-snorting Corsa VXR.
Perrys has a choice of unregistered Vauxhall Corsa SRis available for £11,995. List price is £15,300 before options, so the saving is at least £3,305.
Hyundai i30 is backed up by a comprehensive five-year warranty
Save nearly £6k on a Hyundai i30
The Hyundai i30 is one of the best value family-sized hatchbacks you can currently buy. And if you’re prepared to purchase used, your money will go even further.
Motorpoint has a pair of range-topping i30 2.0 CRDi Premium turbodiesels, both on 58 registrations, for £10,999. One of them has travelled just 5,393 miles, the other 9,345.
The new list price for this model is £16,895 - so whichever you choose it’s a £5,896 saving. You also get the peace of mind that comes with the balance of Hyundai’s standard five-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
