Mercedes SLK 2Look

Mercedes SLK 2Look comes with 18-inch alloys

Mercedes-Benz limited editions aren’t unheard of – but they are unusual. The appeal of the SLK 2Look, however, is totally black and white…

The 2Look comes in a choice of white or black paint – two standard shades plus an optional alternative of each at extra cost – has aggressive 18-inch alloy wheels, black headlight surrounds and ‘2Look Edition’ badging.

The black and white theme continues inside. The sports seats, steering wheel, centre armrest and door cards are all finished in high quality nappa leather, coloured black and white, and detailed with contrasting stitching.

The headlining is black, the dashboard accented in white, and the 2Look's floor mats are black velour with white piping.

Mercedes Airscarf included

In addition to the visual enhancements, the SLK 2Look includes Mercedes’ "Airscarf". Using vents in the seat-back, this neck-heating system helps keep occupants warm during top-down driving.

Performance is provided by the 200 Kompressor engine, a supercharged 1.8-litre petrol unit producing 181bhp. This whisks the SLK from 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds, and on to a top speed of 147mph.

Extra value SLK

Compared with a regular £29,445 SLK 200 Kompressor, the 2Look Edition is £1,790 more expensive, at £31,235. However, Mercedes says the special finishing and standard Airscarf mean buyers are getting £2,395 in extra value over the standard car.

The Mercedes SLK 2Look Edition is on sale now. Just 150 examples are available.
