Hoover has unveiled two new high capacity washing machines, the 10kg Dynamic 10 Wash and Dynamic 10 Steam.
Hoover says that the Dynamic 10 washing machines take bigger loads than many others on the market, but are also quieter and more energy efficient than previous models. It’s on sale priced around £800.
Hoover Dynamic 10 washing machines
According to the manufacturer, both Dynamic 10 Hoover washing machines are 5mm slimmer than some rival 9kg washing machines. They also incorporate Hoover’s ‘Rapid 14 minute cycle’ which the manufacturer says ‘offers the fastest wash on the market’.
Other features of the Hoover washing machines include:
- KG mode – this weighs the laundry and is designed to adjust the washing cycle times, water and electricity consumption to suit the size of the load
- Time Manager – a countdown during the washing machine cycle
- 3D Dynamic wash system – designed to maximise clothes movement during washing.
Although ‘A’ is the most efficient officially recognised energy rating for a washing machine, Hoover claims these models are extremely low energy users, and has billed them ‘A+’. It also says the 10kg load size can reduce the number of wash loads a week by half.
Washing machine reliability
Which? washing machines expert, Katie Waller, said: ‘When you buy a new washing machine the chances are you need it to fit into the space left by your old one. For people who frequently wash large loads this Hoover model offers the benefit of a large drum, but in a machine that’s similar in size to many smaller capacity models.
‘If the Intelligent Wash System works successfully this should also help people to waste less water and energy if they don’t always fill the drum with every wash.
‘However, Hoover washing machines scored below average in our recent washing machine reliability survey – see our best washing machine brands report for full details.’
Dynamic 10 Steam washing machine
The Hoover Dynamic 10 Steam has a steam wash option and a LCD display. Users can choose from a short steam cycle to freshen fabrics for ironing, or an intensive steam wash function, which Hoover promises gives the performance of a 60°C wash using a wash temperature of less than 40°C.
A ‘Hygiene+ cycle’ is claimed to eliminate 99.9 % of bacteria in the washing.
