Ford Focus

Over £5k off a Focus

£5,500 saving makes Ford Focus affordable

Kicking off this round of motoring bargains, another Drive the Deal summer offer.

You can’t help but notice that the has been getting awfully expensive recently - UK prices not being helped by the current Euro exchange rate. So a £5,529 discount would be pretty handy, right?

That’s on a nice Focus, too - a five-door Zetec with 108bhp 1.6TDCi turbodiesel. List price is £19,195; that Drive the Deal saving brings it down to a much more reasonable £13,666.

If that’s still too rich, you could try AutoeBid The reverse auction site reckons the most you will pay through its service for a 1.4-litre petrol Studio five-door - the entry-level model - is just £10,879.

List is £14,945 - so that’s a saving of £4,066.

Audi RS6 Avant

Big discount makes Audi's RS6 Avant supercar estate more affordable

Brand new Audi RS6 for £20k off

Shifting to entirely the opposite end of the spectrum, Broadspeed has a special deal on the Audi RS6 Avant.

To all intents and purposes, this is a supercar masquerading as an estate. The RS6 is powered by a 5.0-litre V10 petrol engine with twin-turbochargers and 572bhp. It sprints to 62mph from rest in just 4.6 seconds and, according to the list price it will set you back a minimum of £76,090 on the road.

If those stats are too breathtaking for you, Broadspeed reckons it can shave a massive £20,000 off the price of a brand new one, taking it down to £56,000.

Mitsubishi Shogun

End-of-line savings on the Shogun

Save over £6k on Mitsubishi Shogun

Earlier this week an insider informed us that sales of the long-wheelbase, five-door Mitsubishi Shogun were slipping in favour of the short-wheelbase three-door model.

Which might explain why Online Cars has a number of pre-registered five-door Shoguns available, all with at least £5,000 off. All of these 4x4s feature a 3.2-litre turbodiesel engine and an automatic gearbox as standard.

The biggest saving of all is on a top spec Diamond model. Reduced from a list price of £35,749 to £29,734, that’s not only a £6,015 discount, but actually £2,015 cheaper than the equivalent three-door version.

Old shape Subaru Impreza on an 09-plate

Finally, an intriguing used deal...

All Approved Cars is listing a previous-generation Subaru Impreza 2.0 R Sport estate. That’s the non-turbo model with five-speed manual gearbox and four-wheel drive. It’s covered just 50 miles, but most interesting of all was only registered in March, so it’s on an 09-plate.

So, if you like the Subaru name but not the look of the latest Impreza, for £11,995 this could be worth considering.
