The Duracell myGrid wireless charger will launch in the US in October
Duracell joins the wireless charging bandwagon with the introduction of the Duracell MyGrid universal charging pad.
The device will go on sale in the US in October for around $80, and although Duracell has been unable to confirm a UK launch, we anticipate the arrival of the universal charging pad sometime soon.

The Duracell myGrid isn't the first wireless charging device that we have seen, but it is expected that the weight behind Duracell's brand recognition will make it one of the more popular.
The launch of the myGrid is only part of Duracell's 'Smart Power' line up, which marks the first foray away from traditional batteries for the Proctor and Gamble run company. Other portable charging devices and power solutions appear to be in the pipeline.
Duracell describes the myGrid as being able to 'eliminate the mess of multiple cords by simultaneously charging multiple devices'.
BlackBerry, Motorola and Nokia chargers included
Users will need to place their devices into a Power Sleeve before leaving them on the pad to be able to charge. In the US, the device will be launched with Power Clips for BlackBerry, Motorola and Nokia phones, with additional Power Sleeves and Power Clips being available for purchase.
As well as mobile phones, Duracell explains that the myGrid will also be suitable for charging MP3 players and other mobile devices.
